Triangl Bikini Dupe!

I haven't blogged in almost two weeks now and that's due to the amount of work I've had since starting uni again. But summer is looking slightly closer and I'm so excited to go on holiday and have a break (only been back 2 weeks, oops!) Since Summer is on my mind, I'm already thinking of summer fashion and what I want to wear in my favourite time of year. I really want a 'Triangl' brikini; I've seen them on a fair few blogs but they're pretty pricey and you can end paying around $80 for one. Then I came across this bikini from Missguided and it most definitely a dupe - I love it!

The black detailing around the bikini makes it a dupe and Missguided definitely knew what they were doing on this one! The colour is a gorgeous mint green - apologies for the rather crap photography but I took this at night time and only had my light to hand. To make it even better, it was £9.99! I'm not sure if it's last season because there was only size 8 left - sizes 6, 10+ all sold out! Hopefully they'll get some more in stock though so you can pick one up! Size 8 is still quite small on me and I'm pretty small so just a heads up there!

Do you know of any dupes for the Triangl bikini? Let me know in the comments below!

Valentines Day Gifts for Guys and Gals

Gals:

Jewellery - Pictured above is a gorgeous bangle from Swarvoski and a Tiffany Necklace. These are some of the brands that I personally think are gorgeous but if you're on a cheaper budget, any necklace from a jewellers like HSamuel would be lovely & getting it engraved would make it extra special.

Chocolate - I think this is particularly good if you've just started going out together/dating and it's that area where you don't know whether to get them something. These are gorgeous heart chocolates from Hotel Chocolat but obviously there's cheaper brands - Guylian and Cadbury etc are all on offer at the moment!

Spa Break - Usually quite expensive but if you look on websites like Virgin Experience Days, you can find something pretty good. I found a spa day with afternoon tea for 2 for £39 - orginally £79 and has 5 star reviews - amazing! Here's the link!

Make-Up - I'm pretty sure 95% of gals love make-up but especially for those beauty addicts in your lift, this is a great gift. A Chanel lipstick would be appreciated as a special makeup item by anyone and is around the £25 mark. I also think a blush may be good as the colours dont vary TOO much so you can't go TOO wrong. YSL is a luxurious brand which is pretty good for a lovely present.

Candles - Depending on the type of gal you're with, they may like a candle. (Maybe even men too!) I really want a Jo Malone candle but at £40 I can't bring myself to pick one up. It makes for a very luxurious gift though.

Guys:

Play station/Xbox Games - This is what I got my boyfriend because basically he asked for it. Not very romantic but I doubt he will care if he has a Playstation or Xbox that he loves. You'll probably get extra girlfriend points, just make sure he doesn't neglect you for his PS4 haha!

Alcohol - I put vodka here as both me and my boyfriend are students. However if the man in your life is a tad classier (haha!), a nice bottle of gin, brandy or whisky may be a good shout. You can get special oriental beers that may be a good idea for a unique gift.

Cook a meal/Take him out for meal - Sometimes buying a guy a present can be very difficult I find. Last year, me and my boyfriend had only been going out a few months so I took him out for a nice meal. We went to Las Iguanas and we fully enjoyed it - they had a live band, it was very authentic. It was funny because the waiter gave the card machine to my boyfriend as he shyly pointed at me...

Mug/Camera lense cup - If it's unique, funny or personalised; a mug is always a winner. I found this one on IWOOT (I Want One Of Those .com). It's quite cool and especially if he likes photography!

Both:
Lingerie - OK so lingerie would be awesome to get for your girlfriend but I know a girl who actually bought her boyfriend some lingerie as part of his present which I thought was quite funny!

Grow Your Own Male Stripper - Because I think I'm hilarious; this is what I got for my boyfriend alongside the PS4 game. Bit of a silly gift but after all, valentines day is a commercial con so why not laugh about it!

I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some last minute ideas! I strongly believe that Valentines Day is a marketing technique and you don't have to show your affection and go out for a meal just because it's the 14th of February. However it IS fun to get involved and buying a nice gift for your girlfriend/boyfriend would make them smile, so if you have the money why not!

Make-Up Tutorial | Natural Nude & Brightening

Something new to my blog today; a make-up tutorial! I always talk about products but never actually show you how I apply them or what my everyday make-up look is. I love this 'brightening' kind of look and it's very natural but is a real change. So here you see me, bare faced! Eeeekk.

First of all, I apply my Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation - What a tongue twister.  It gives great coverage and it's even better when buffed in with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I started on the outer part of my face on my cheeks, as that's the area where my blemishes are and where I need the most coverage. I also sweep it over my eyes so everything is neutral and all of my face is one colour.

I then went in with my Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer under my eyes and pat it in with my Real Techniques expert face brushBe careful not to rub as you will just wipe the product off; instead dabbing it in to the skin.
I then grabbed my Urban Decay Naked Palette and swept 'Virgin' across my eyelids. It's a neutral white/cream matte shade and gives a brightening effect to the eyes. I just used the brush that comes with the palette and the flat side is pretty good for sweeping colour on. Pardon the pouting and facial expressions in this gif.
I then grabbed an Eco Tools eyeshadow brush and buffed the shade 'Naked' into my crease which is a soft matte light brown. It's a great transition colour and gives a bit of definition and contour to the eyes amongst the white wash.

Ew, don't my eyebrows just look horrible here. It's time to do something with them! I use an angled brush with the darkest powder from the Mua Brow Kit and fill in my eyebrows with it. I like to use the Soap and Glory Archery a lot of the time but seen as this is a more natural look, I decided to stick with powder.

Next up: Mascara! One of my make-up essentials, probably THE essential. I love the Rimmel Volume Flash x10 Mascara in Extreme Black. My friend recommend it to me and I feel it gives great length and volume. I also find applying mascara looking down into a mirror makes mascara apply SO much better!

I then like to powder by face using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. I apply this pretty much everywhere as I have quite oily skin.

I then like to grab my beloved NARS At First Sight Eye and Cheek Palette and sweep the Laguna bronzer over my face but mainly on my cheeks as a rough contour.

I like to contour my face with the MAC Blush in 'Harmony'. I sweep this to chisel some cheekbones into my face. I also like to apply it to either side of my nose to make it appear thinner.

I then go back to the Nars palette and use the blush named 'Deep Throat' (NARS hae some pretty dodgy names for their products!) on the tops of my cheekbones. Sometimes I smile to see where the apples of my cheeks are but realistically, you won't be smiling like that all day so pulling a straight face will show you exactly where you are applying your blusher. I like to put it just slightly running parallel to my contour on the higher part of my face.

A new product of mine is the Topshop All Over Glow and it's a lovely golden highlighter. You can mix it in with your foundation or simply apply it on top. I just applied it on the top of my cheekbones, just above my contour.

I want to create a nudey lip but slightly Kylie Jenner-esque. I use this ELF Matte Lip Colour in 'Tea Rose' which I've actually had in my stash for quite some time. I've never really used it until recently and it's an amazing product, definitely a current fave!

I don't always do this but here I applied lipstick over the top to create more depth to my lips. I applied the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Pink In The Afternoon' and a MAC Lipstick in the well known nude shade 'Hue'.

I then added some gloss over the top. I used the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 'Peach Petal' which is a gorgeous nude gloss.

I hope you like this look! Let me know in the comments below if you like this kind of post :) This post took quite a bit of time & effort to make so I hope you found it useful or just liked it in general!
